STORM THE EARTH in paperback & BRIAR GIRLS celebrations!
Hello, friends! It’s November 2 as I write this. Those of you participating in NaNoWriMo, I’m cheering you on! I’m quietly trying to get the wheels turning on a new project but mostly trying not to stress myself out as this month is full of Briar Girls launch things. But before then (in fact, today!), I’ve got another book release! Storm the Earth is out in a handy paperback format today!
Storm the Earth concludes the angry bisexual dragon duology that began with Shatter the Sky, and now both books are available in hardcover, paperback, and audiobook formats! If you’re looking for signed copies, Porter Square Books and Belmont Books have a few! (And you can always order copies of any of my books from Porter and request signed copies!)
Today is also the original publication date for Briar Girls. While the publication date has only been delayed two weeks (to November 16!), I still wanted to mark the occasion by sharing the first page of Briar Girls!
Oooooh! Now, on to Briar Girls celebrations! Read on to catch details on all three of my virtual events and one IN PERSON EVENT! (I’m as shocked and excited as you are!)
Tonight (Tuesday, November 2, at 7p Eastern!) I’m in conversation with the extraordinary Kate Elliott. Visit Porter Square Books for more information and to register for the event! (Attendance is free but registration is required.)
On Friday November 5 at 7pm Eastern, I’ll be on a big book birthday bash panel with Laura E. Weymouth, Makiia Lucier, Rebecca Ross, Laura Taylor Namey, and Lauren Blackwood. Visit One More Page Books for more information and to register for the event! (Attendance is free but registration is required.)
On Wednesday November 10 at 7pm Eastern, I’ll be on a queer science fiction/fantasy panel with Kalynn Bayron, A.R. Capetta, K. Ancrum, and Anna-Marie McLemore. Visit Tubby & Coo’s for more information. This free virtual event will stream live to Facebook and Youtube.
In person event alert! On Friday November 19 at 7pm Pacific I’m so thrilled to visit Books Inc. Palo Alto for an IN PERSON EVENT (yes, it’s really IN PERSON!) in conversation with Maggie Tokuda-Hall, of The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea and Squad fame! Mermaid was one of my favorite books of 2020 so I am thrilled she agreed to do this event with me! If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, I would love to see you there!
*Face masks will be required for this in person event!
Not only is Maggie doing this event with me, she was gracious enough to read and blurb Briar Girls!
This was the first blurb I got for Briar Girls and I cannot overemphasize how much of a breath I released (that I didn’t know I was holding, lol). Maggie completely got everything I was trying to do with this book, and I’m so excited that in two weeks, I can share it with all of you as well.
Best,
Rebecca
